CHICKEN SOUP 
1 lg. soup chicken, cut in eighths
6 lg. carrots (peeled and cut in chunks)
6 pieces celery, cut in chunks
1 bunch parsley
1 lg. onion
2 turnips
2 parsnips

Cover ingredients with water. Cook over high heat until boiling, then simmer on low heat until done (about 3 hours).
