CARAMEL PIE 
4 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
1 unbaked pie shell
1 recipe meringue

Beat egg yolks in saucepan. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and flour, mixing well. Add milk, mix well. One and one half cup sugar in skillet over low heat until golden brown, stirring constantly. Add to milk mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens, add butter; mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees until pastry browns. Top with meringue. Bake at 300 degrees until browned.
