1 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 lg. eggs or 6 sm. eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. mace
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Grease and flour Bundt cake pan. Cream Crisco and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add dry ingredients slowly, mixing well. Add vanilla and mix thoroughly. Bake in moderate oven 55-60 minutes or until golden and toothpick comes out clean. Remove from pan immediately - serve hot with tall glass of cold milk.
