BLUEBERRY SQUARES 
1/2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
4 egg whites, beaten stiff
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 lb. butter
Grated rind of 1/2 lemon
2 c. blueberry pie filling
3/4 c. sugar

Cream 1/2 cup sugar and butter. Beat in egg yolks. Add lemon rind and flour. Mix well. Spread on cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and spread on pie filling. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar to beaten egg whites. Put on top of pie filling. Sprinkle with nuts. Brown in 325 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut in 3 inch squares.
