GINGERBREAD COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. molasses
2 tbsp. vinegar
6 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. powdered ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

In a large bowl cream together butter, sugar and salt. Stir in eggs, molasses and vinegar. In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon. Add dry ingredients to molasses mixture gradually and mix well. Chill 3-4 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out shapes. Bake about 8 minutes on lightly greased cookie sheet. Makes about 8 dozen small cookies.
