PEBBLE DASH CAKE 
5 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. warm water
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Combine flour and baking powder. Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat yolks with sugar. Add warm water. Add flour mixture. Fold in egg whites. Bake in 2 (9 inch) cake pans or 3 (8 inch) pans, greased and floured. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.

FILLING:

2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
Finely crushed peanut brittle
2 cubes butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour and sugar. Crush peanut brittle with rolling pin. Pour milk over flour mixture. Cook 15 minutes in top of double boiler. Cool a little and add butter, sugar and vanilla. Put between layers and cover cake. Sprinkle brittle over bottom filling.
