BEEF AND BLACK BEAN SAUCE | |
4 cubed steaks 1/2 c. flour 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix 1/4 c. oil 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1 can beef broth 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed Hot cooked rice 1/4 c. med. picante sauce Combine flour and taco seasoning mix. Dip steaks in mixture. Fry in oil. Remove to dish. Saute onion and garlic in pan drippings until tender. Combine cornstarch, chili powder and beef broth. Whisk until smooth. Pour mixture into onion-garlic mixture in frying pan. Cook until sauce thickens. Stir in beans. To serve, place rice on platter. Spoon 3/4 of the bean sauce over rice. Place steaks next. Add remaining sauce. Top each steak with picante sauce. |
