EASY PORK CHOP AND APPLE BAKE
Allow one large 1/2" thick chop and one medium apple per person.

Slice apples thin and place half on bottom of baking pan. Place salted chops on apples. Place another layer of apple on top of chops. Sprinkle lightly with brown sugar (about 1 tablespoon per apple). Place in hot oven, 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove and baste with own liquid. Cover and bake another 30 minutes. You may need to add 2 or 3 tablespoons water to baste chops with.

Easy Pork Chop and Apple Bake

I'm completely new to cooking and this seemed easy. I added more brown sugar than required and did the prebaking of the apples. I cut the baking time down to 50 minutes and while the chops were delicious the apples were almost completely burned. Those that weren't were very tart, next time I'm going to try a sweeter apple or mix white and brown sugar, also I might not pre bake the apples.

I'm trying this recipe now and hopefully it turns out. I had to modify slightly because the husband can't have brown sugar so I lightly sprinkled the apples with sugar and Cinnamon and basted with unsweetened apple juice.
