BREAD DOUGH ORNAMENTS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. salt
3/4 c. water (warm)

1. Mix flour and salt with pastry blender. Add water slowly. Mix to a smooth consistency using hands and kneading to get the bubbles out. Roll out small piece at a time between 2 pieces of wax paper, using a rolling pin (about 1/4 inch thickness). Use desired cookie cutter and place on a cookie sheet. Using a nail, put a hole in the top of each ornament. Bake at 300 degrees approximately 1 hour.

2. Painting the ornaments: Use acrylic paint and paint one side at a time. Allow to dry then turn over to paint other side.

3. Decorating or writing on the ornaments can be done at this stage, before the gloss.

4. Acrylic Sealing. Use an acrylic spray on the ornaments to seal them. Clear.

5. String with ribbon.

It is better to do these ornaments in different stages. They seem to paint better if they have cooled for several days.
