SAUSAGE EGG CASSEROLE | |
8 slices of cubed bread 3/4 lb. grated cheese, cheddar 2 lbs. fresh sausage links 1 sm. can diced green chilies 5 eggs 2 1/4 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. dry mustard 1 can mushroom soup 1/2 can water or dry vermouth Cook and slice sausage while cubing bread. Layer bread, cheese, sausage and green chilies in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Beat eggs with milk, salt and mustard. Add soup and water to egg mixture. Pour liquid over casserole. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until set. Can be made a day before and reheated. Serves 6. |
