MAGGIE'S BEEF STEW 
3 lbs. lean cubed stewing beef
3 med. onions
1 lg. can tomatoes
3 tbsp. dry tapioca
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic-parsley seasoning
3 oz. red wine
2 lbs. baby carrots
4 med. potatoes (or 8 new potatoes)
1 lb. green beans (or peas)

Combine first seven ingredients in a casserole dish. Add generous grinding of black pepper and pinch of thyme, rosemary and marjoram. Bake, covered, for 5 hours at 255 degrees (no need to brown meat). Add remaining vegetables after 4th hour.
