1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 8 oz. plain yogurt 1 egg 2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3 c. Golden Delicious apples, chopped 1 c. chopped walnuts Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, yogurt, egg and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Mix well. Add to wet ingredients. Mix. Add apple and nuts. Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. | |

I shared this cake with my coworkers and they all loved it. I followed the recipe exactly except I frosted the cake with homemade cream cheese frosting. It's really moist and the combination of apples, walnuts and spices, topped with cream cheese frosting is delicious. I will definitely be making this cake again!
