RAISED DONUTS 
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. milk (warm)
3 egg yolks or 3 eggs plus 3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. melted shortening
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Combine all ingredients. Knead lightly. Cover. Place in refrigerator overnight. Roll out 1/3 inch thick. Cut and let raise 30 to 40 minutes. Drop in hot fat. Turn when side is brown (golden).
