PANCAKES 
8 oz. flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 oz. caster sugar
1 egg
1 oz. warmed golden syrup
Milk to mix

Sieve dry ingredients, add syrup and milk to mix to a thick cream batter. Heat greased griddle or frying pan. Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto griddle. Turn pancakes and serve warm.
