1 lb. pinto beans 1 heaping tbsp. chili powder 2 pods garlic 1 onion 1 lb. ground beef 1 can tomato sauce Salt & pepper Soak beans overnight, boil several hours until tender, put in chopped onion, garlic and chili powder. When beans are done, add meat, which has been sauteed and add tomato sauce. Cook 1 hour. This recipe comes from the Heart of Texas. My sister-in-law sent it to me. It truly is from the HEART OF TEXAS. With this recipe you can eat cornbread, homemade of course, and it will be like you are sitting with a Cowboy enjoying your meal. |
