1 lb. Oreo cookies, crushed
1/2 c. butter
1/2 gallon ice cream (any flavor)
1/2 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
3 squares bitter chocolate
1 lg. can Carnation evaporated milk

Mix together Oreo cookies and 1/2 cup butter. Press in two 8x8 inch or one 9x13 inch pan. Cut ice cream into layer the desired thickness. and layer on cookie mixture. Chill in freezer.

Cook 1/2 cup butter, sugar, chocolate, and evaporated milk over medium heat 8-10 minutes. Cool and pour over ice cream and freeze. Serve with whipped cream and crushed nuts and cherries. This can be kept several weeks in freezer.
