ELLA'S FROSTED CREAMS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
3 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. hot coffee1 tsp. baking soda
Dash of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 full c. flour

Cream sugar and Crisco; add eggs, one at a time, blending after each addition. Add molasses and blend. Put baking soda into 1 cup hot coffee; add to above mixture. (Batter will look curdled.) Add dry ingredients and stir to mix well.

Pour into a greased and floured 15 x 10 x 3/4 inch jelly roll pan; bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake. While slightly warm, frost with a thin butter cream frosting. Excellent served with coffee.
