YUGOSLAVIAN SPINACH BREAD | |
1/4 c. butter 1 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1 c. milk 1 lb. Jack cheese, grated 1/2 lb. spinach, chopped Melt butter in an 8 x 13 inch pan in oven while it preheats to 375 degrees. Combine all other ingredients and add to pan, mixing well with the butter. Bake for 35 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Enjoy! Any leftovers can be reheated in the microwave, even frozen. NOTES FROM ALAN: I usually omit the butter, never sift the flour, use any kind of cheese and use 10 ounces of frozen chopped spinach, thawed. |
