LASAGNA 
1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, liquified
2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1 tsp. salt
24 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
8 oz. lasagna noodles
2 eggs
24 oz. cream-style cottage cheese
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. dried parsley flakes

Cook meat and onion until meat is browned. Drain off fat. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste and basil. Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring often. Beat eggs and add cottage cheese, 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese, the parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Put just a little meat sauce in the bottom of the 9x13x2 inch baking dish. DO NOT cook the noodles.

Layer half the noodles, spread with half of the cottage cheese filling. Cover with Mozzarella cheese and add half of the meat sauce. Cover with Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Or, assemble early and refrigerate. I like to cover for about 20 to 30 minutes, then uncover until done.
