BUTTER JELLY COOKIES 
1 lb. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
5 c. flour
2 tbsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients together. Form into 2 inch roll. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Slice in 1/4 slices. Bake at 350 degrees until edges are slightly browned. Cool. Put jelly on one cookie. Put second cookie on top of jelly to form sandwich. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
