BUTTERMILK PECAN PIE 
1 stick butter
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Melt butter and add sugar. Blend in vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and salt; add to egg mixture a little at a time. Add buttermilk. Sprinkle pecans in bottom of pie crust. Pour custard over the pecans and bake 1 1/2 hours. Cool and serve. Pie is not good when real hot.
