SCALLOPED POTATOES 
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
3 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
6 med. potatoes, pared & sliced thin

Make a white sauce with butter, flour, milk, salt and pepper (shredded cheese may be added to sauce). Put half the potatoes in a greased 2 quart casserole; over with half the sauce. Repeat the layer. Cover and bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour. Uncover and continue baking until top is browned. Serves 4-6.
