6 eggs
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
Fine white sugar

Separate eggs - beat whites until stiff and yolks until thin as water. Mix together and add spices. Stir thoroughly and thicken with sugar until consistency of light batter. 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar or 1/8 teaspoon baking soda prevents sugar from setting.

Fill mugs with batter, brandy and hot water and dash of nutmeg or cinnamon.
