CHOCOLATE MINT DESSERT 
CAKE LAYER:

1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can Hershey's chocolate syrup
1/2 c. softened butter

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 inch cake pan. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, butter, eggs and syrup. Beat until smooth. Bake 25-30 minutes or until top springs back. Cool completely in pan.

MINT CREAM LAYER:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. softened butter
1 tbsp. water
1/2-3/4 tsp. mint extract
3 drops green food coloring

In small bowl, combine all ingredients. Beat until smooth. Spread on cooled cake. Cover and chill.

CHOCOLATE TOPPING:

6 tbsp. butter
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Melt in small pan or microwave until melted. Cool slightly. Combine and spread on chilled center layer. Cover; chill at least 1 hour before serving.

The person I got this recipe from said it usually takes 2 days to prepare but I can tell you that it is definitely worth the effort. It was absolutely delicious.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
