1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. plus 4 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 c. plus 4 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 (12 oz.) chocolate morsels

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease oblong pan 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Blend in flour, soda and salt. Mix in nuts. Spread in pan. Sprinkle chocolate morsels over top of dough.

Place in oven 1 minute. Remove from oven and run knife through dough to marbleize. Return to oven, bake 12-14 minutes. Cool. This is a double recipe.
