WELSH RAREBIT | |
2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. milk or cream 1/2 tsp. dry mustard or 1 tsp. Dijon mustard 1 c. grated cheddar cheese Cayenne to taste (opt.) Melt butter and add flour and salt to make smooth paste. Slowly add milk, stirring. Add cheese, stir until melted. Add mustard and cayenne. Serve over toast or saltine crackers.
