BASIC PIE CRUST 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
1/4 to 1/2 c. cold water

Put flour, salt and sugar in a bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Add just enough water to so crust holds together when squeezed. Roll out on floured board to form two 8-10 inch pie crusts.
