CHESS PIE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
4 eggs
1 (8- or 9- inch) pie shell

Cream butter. Blend together the sugar and cornstarch, add to butter and cream again. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each one is added. Put mixture in pie crust and bake in 350 degree oven until it sets, about 35 minutes.
