PRALINE PECANS 
8 oz. pecan halves
salt to taste
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. + sugar

Place pecans in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Salt. Heat at 250°F for 5 minutes. In a large saucepan, melt butter. Over medium heat, stir in maple syrup and 1/4 cup sugar until boiling. Allow to boil for 5 minutes over low heat. Stir in pecans, stirring to coat evenly. Return to cake pan.

Bake at 250°F, stirring frequently to prevent clumping. Turn out onto plastic wrap, separating quickly with forks. When cool, dip into sugar.
