CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES - DOUBLE
DOUBLE BATCH
 
9 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking soda

Sift and set aside.

3 c. sugar
3 c. brown sugar
4 c. shortening

Cream until smooth.

8 eggs, slightly beaten
4 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. water (optional)

Add to creamed sugar and shortening. Beat mixture until well blended and light. Add flour a little at a time - mix well.

3 (12 oz.) pkg. of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Add to dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 1/2 minutes. Makes 15 plus dozen depending on size.
