CHOCOLATE GOBS 
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs, beaten well
1 c. sour milk
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa

Cream sugar with Crisco. Add eggs, sour milk, boiling water, vanilla. Sift flour, soda, baking powder, salt, cocoa. Add the above and mix well. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 4-5 minutes at 450 degrees. Makes about 70 cookies.

FILLING:

Cook until thick, stirring constantly 5 tablespoons flour and 1 cup milk and let cool. Cream 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 cup Crisco, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Add the above mixture and beat well with electric mixer until consistency of whipping cream. Spread on cookies and top with another. Wrap each cookie in Saran Wrap or wax paper. They keep well in freezer.
