PRUNE OAT DROPS 
3/4 c. uncooked pitted prunes
1 1/2 c. uncooked quick cooking oats
1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 large egg
1/2 c. soft shortening
1 tsp. vanilla

Snip prunes into small pieces; set aside.

In order given, measure remaining ingredients in mixing bowl. Beat at low speed until well blended. Stir in prunes. Drop by level spoonfuls (tablespoon) onto greased baking sheets.

Bake at 375°F for 13 to 15 minutes until edges are browned. Cool on wire racks.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
