CORN BREAD 
1 c. corn meal
1 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 egg

Sift all dry ingredients into bowl. Add egg and buttermilk; beat until smooth. Grease baking pan or heat pan first.

Bake at 350°F for until brown.

Note: May have to raise to 425°F to brown.
