POLISH MISTAKES 
2 pkgs. cocktail rye bread
1 lb. hot sausage
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed

Brown meat. Drain off grease. In skillet blend meat and spices. Then add cheese, stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Spread on cocktail rye rounds. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. May freeze on cookie sheets and store before heating.

DIETITIAN'S NOTE:

This popular hors d'oeuvre can be altered to lower total calories and fat by choosing extra lean ground beef or ground turkey meat and using Velveeta "Light". Remember, these changes will lower calories, fat and sodium, not create a low fat, calorie/sodium product. Moderation is the key with these tempting morsels.
