GARDEN STYLE SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1/2 lb. ground beef or sweet Italian sausage
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced or pressed
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/4 tsp. oregano, crushed
1/4 tsp. basil, crushed
Dash crushed red pepper
1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
2 med. zucchini, unpeeled and sliced
1 tbsp. grated Parmesan

Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a medium saucepan; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings. Simmer 15 minutes. Add mushrooms and zucchini; continue simmering 5-10 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Serve atop cooked linguini, spaghetti, manicotti or rotini. Makes 4 servings.
