1 c. shortening (1/2 Crisco, 1/2 butter)
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all and drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass which has been dipped in sugar. Bake 375 degrees 8 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
