1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. pumpkin
1 egg
salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; cream well. Sift flour with soda, baking powder and salt; add to mixture. Add pumpkin and mix well. Drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F to 375°F for 10 minutes.
