GUM DROP COOKIES 
4 eggs, beat light
2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. water
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. gum drops
3/4 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Beat eggs until light; add sugar and water; mix well and let stand until gum drops and nuts are cut. Cut gum drops into small pieces, also nuts. Use a small portion of the flour to coat gum drops and nuts in order that they will not stick together. Add rest of flour, salt and cinnamon to egg mixture, beat until well mixed. Add gum drops and nuts; mix well. Pour into well greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool before cutting. May be iced if desired.
