COOKED PLAYDOUGH 
4 c. flour
2 c. salt
4 tbsp. cream of tartar
4 c. water
2 tbsp. oil
Food coloring

Cook flour, salt, cream of tartar, water and oil over medium heat. Be sure to stir the mixture constantly until it is stiff. Let it cool, then knead it. Add food coloring when you are stirring the mixture for uniform coloring. Store the dough in a plastic container. Because the dough is cooked it will last a long time. It can be stored in the refrigerator between uses but doesn't have to be.
