FRIED PIES 
You may use DRIED apples, peaches, or apricots. Cook the fruit until very tender. Sweeten generously. Roll out biscuit dough fairly thin. Cut dough in circles approximately 5 inches in diameter Put a rounded tablespoon of the cooked fruit in the center of each round of dough.

Fold the dough over the fruit and seal the edges by pressing together with your fingers. Heat one inch of oil in an iron frying pan until a little pinch of dough will begin to brown when dropped in. Gently place the pie in the oil. Brown on one side. Turn and brown on the other side. Remove to a bread pan that has been line with paper towels.
