SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
3 eggs, separated
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. flour
1 stick melted butter
1 c. light corn syrup
1 unbaked pie shell

Beat egg yolks and whites separately, then together. Add flour and sugar, then butter and vanilla. Add syrup and nuts. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes or until done. Be sure not to overcook. (I have found that it takes 1 hour in most ovens.)
