APPLESAUCE CAKE 
1 stick butter (softened)
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. (unsweetened thick) applesauce
1 lg. egg

Cream together until light and fluffy.

Add: 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 c. water

Stir well. Add 1 cup raisins and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.

FROSTING:

2 2/3 c. powdered sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk
1/3 c. soft butter
3-4 tbsp. orange juice

Add more as needed. Bake in 9x13 cake pan at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
