APPLE COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
2 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped pears

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in apples and pears.

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Sprinkle on top of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes in greased 9x13 inch pan.
