CARAMEL FRUIT CAKE 
1 lb. dates
3/4 c. candied cherries
1 slice green candied pineapple
1 slice red candied pineapple
2 slices white candied pineapple
1/4 c. candied orange peel
1/4 c. candied lemon peel
1 c. pecans
1 c. moist coconut
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Cut all the fruit into small pieces. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly then press into a small greased loaf pan. Bake in 300 degree oven for 2 hours. Turn cake out to sweat out of pan, when cooled decorate with candied cherries and blanched almonds. Wrap in foil and refrigerate. Will keep for several months.
