PUMPKIN SOUP 
4 tbsp. butter
2 cans pumpkin
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1 1/4 c. chicken stock
3 c. milk or cream

In a large saucepan, melt butter. Add pumpkin and seasoning. Stir for 10 minutes. Gradually add chicken stock stirring constantly. Simmer, covered for 5 minutes, then add the milk. Serve at once.
