ELEPHANT STEW | |
1 med. size elephant 1 ton salt 1 ton pepper 500 bushels potatoes 200 bushels carrots 4000 sprigs parsley 2 sm. rabbits (optional) Cut elephant meat into bite size pieces (this will take about 2 months). Cut vegetables into cubes (another 2 months). Place meat into a pot and cover with 1000 gallons of brown gravy and simmer for 4 weeks. Shovel in salt and pepper to taste. When the meat is tender add vegetables (a steam shovel may be useful.) Simmer slowly for 4 weeks. Garnish with parsley. Will serve, 3, 800 people. If more people are expected, add rabbits. (This is not recommended because very few people like Hare in their stew). |
