BAKED BEANS | |
2 lb. navy beans Fatback (about 1 tbsp., cut in thirds) 1/4 c. molasses 1/3 c. catsup 1 c. dark Karo corn syrup 2 cans stewed tomatoes 1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 onion, diced Cover beans with water and soak overnight. Drain the beans. Cover the beans with water and boil with fatback pieces for an hour. Mix the other ingredients and add to the beans. Cook in crockpot overnight. Serves 10-12 people. |
