MACARONI AND BEEF | |
Homemade hamburger helper. 1 lb. ground beef 1 cup uncooked small elbow macaroni 1/2 cup minced onion 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp pepper 2 (8 oz ea.) cans tomato sauce 1 cup water 2 to 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Cook beef in large skillet until it loses redness; drain fat. Stir in macaroni, onion, green pepper, salt and pepper; cook, stirring until macaroni is transparent. Add tomato sauce, water and Worcestershire sauce. cover and simmer 20 minutes. Stir and let stand 5 minutes with heat off. Makes 6 servings. Submitted by: Camilla Rogers |
