SNICKERDOODLES 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Roll dough into balls and roll in sugar and cinnamon as coating mixture. Do not make balls real big as they will spread. Bake at 350 degrees, start checking cookies after 8 minutes. Every oven is different. You have to watch these cookies, if they LOOK done, they're burnt.
