SQUASH CASSEROLE WITH PECANS 
1 1/2 lb. squash
1 egg
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 c. butter, melted
Crackers, crushed
1/2 c. grated cheese

Cook squash in water with salt, pepper and a dash of sugar until tender. Mix drained squash with egg, mayonnaise, cheese, onion and pecans. Place in casserole dish. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Near end of baking time, place melted butter and crushed buttery-type crackers on top of casserole and complete baking.
